SEVILLA

Sevilla is the capital city of Andalucia and is 2h30min from Granada. It is full of interesting monuments and romantic spots: the Gothic Cathedral and the Giralda Tower, the Reales Alcázares (royal residence for the Christian Monarchs), the old Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz (with all its low houses, orange tree squares and narrow streets), the park of Mª Luisa, la Plaza de España and the Isla de la Cartuja (venues for the World Fairs of 1929 and 1992 respectively). Finally, you can go for a boat ride on the river Guadalquivir, the only navigable river from Sevilla to the Atlantic.
CORDOBA

In Cordoba you will find one of the most beautiful cities in Andalucia only 2 hours from Granada. You'll be amazed by its old Arab Mosque, from the 8th century, which also contains the Christian Cathedral. You'll be able to travel to the period when the 3 cultures (Christian, Jewish and Muslim) lived together in peace if you visit the museum of the Calahorra Tower. The Jewish quarter La Judería will bring you back to the medieval Córdoba where you'll find the patios and houses, the synagogue, the walls and the labyrinth of narrow streets and squares.
MALAGA

Malaga is the closest city to Granada (1h30min). It is especially well known because it is the capital of the popular Costa del Sol. You will love the atmosphere of its beaches and its night life. Its international airport, one of the busiest in Spain, is also very practical in its proximity.
